About Us

The University System of Ohio

All Ohioans can be proud that as we mark the one-year anniversary of the University System of Ohio, the state’s 14 public universities, 24 branch campuses, 23 community colleges, and more than 200 adult workforce education centers and training programs across the state – which together serve more than a half-million students – are working together in opening the doors of higher education to all Ohioans.

Historic investment in the University System is increasing the role Ohio colleges and universities play in building the talent and research pipelines critical to the state’s success. Hundreds of new scholarships, $250 million from the state for co-ops and internships – to be matched by $250 million from business and industry – a Skills Bank system that links workforce education with business hiring needs, early college opportunities like Seniors to Sophomores, and the introduction of a seamless credit transfer process that increases flexibility and affordability across the system are just some of our benchmark achievements in year one.

Ohio’s public college and university system belongs to all the people of Ohio. While focused on stimulating economic growth in the state, we continue to build the highest quality, student-centered system of higher education in the country.
