Globally Competitive Higher Education Fact Sheet
The University System of Ohio is pursuing an aggressive international strategy to more effectively recruit international students and promote Ohio's higher education system across the globe.
As part of this strategy, the System will partner with the International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate) to evaluate the experience of international students at Ohio's colleges and universities. Tracking the perceptions, expectations and experiences of international students will provide institutions with the tools they need to make Ohio competitive in the international market.
The University System of Ohio is the first system of higher education in the U.S. to work with i-graduate and adopt the International Student Barometer, joining a global initiative spanning five continents. This ground-breaking commitment by the System will globalize the higher education system and ensure that Ohio is providing a world-class education experience for its international students.
The University System of Ohio–i-graduate partnership was announced at a September 2008 press conference, which was followed by an International Education Summit attended by representatives from Ohio's colleges and universities gathered to explore strengthening Ohio's global competitiveness in higher education.
